Debra Salem has been writing music for professional theatre, community

theatre, theatre-in-education, radio and TV since 1986 and her work covers

a wide range of styles frequently mixing live and pre-recorded instruments

and incorporating vocals and sound effects.

Both in Belfast and in Perth, Debra has directed choirs with her own

acapella vocal arrangements which span from folk songs to classic rock

songs.  In Perth, she set up Craigie Community Choir which has backed and

recorded with Runrig, got down to the last 28 choirs in the BBC Television

competition 'Last Choir Standing' and sung with Chinese pop artist Hao Yun

at Perth Concert Hall.
